For my Teacher Leadership Project, I created a presentation on the intervention protocols for the grade-level teachers and presented this information at a staff meeting. The goal of this leadership project was to create a shared common goal for our students through collaboration to ultimately lead to building community within our school.
Students will participate in a guided reading lesson where they will learn to read and write a new sight word. After the small group time, students will reread the text using Literacy Footprints and will show their understanding during part 2 of the lesson.

CSTP 4: Planning Instruction and Designing Learning Experiences for All Students, Students will learn how to write a sentence with correct punctuation and grammar, utilizing a writing checklist and self-assess their writing in order to develop goals for writing.

Students will be given a Pre/Post Assessment with dictated sentence and student writing checklist during Whole Group / Guided Reading
Students will write a sentence dictated by the teacher in guided reading groups and the whole group. Students will use a self-checklist for writing in order to identify focus areas and set goals.
